I rode my bike from Slatington to the West Bowman area. It was very scenic and interesting. I also enjoyed the Kittatinny arboretum and the Nature Center along the route.
Beautiful trail along the Lehigh River
Pros: Peaceful, quiet. Serene. Came across an abandoned airfield. In the distance you can see where I went the Saturday before. We saw several different birds, Cardinals, Blue Jays, possibly an Eagle. Not an expert, but it was massive and not a hawk. We parked across Sal's Pizza. Mmm. The smell. Trail also runs along the Lehigh but for most of the trail from where we were, you could only hear it.
Cons: More suitable, potentially perfect for biking. It's basically a corridor with nothing much to see besides the airfield. Bugs. Did not properly plan for those.
Disclaimer. Saw spray that read some kinda gang name with a trail leading next to it. I survived cause I'm not that white person in the movies.

Good trailhead for going up or down the Lehigh. Long trails on the lot side, shorter paths on the other side. Also the Trout Creek Spur is very lovely. You can sometimes buy Hot Dogs in the lot too (or breakfast).
Me and my son have picnics here for fishing even ride our electric skateboards here very calm and peaceful place. Lovely
Amazing spot along the Delaware and Lehigh Gorge trail, during your bike ride, you can stop, catch your breath and eat and drink in this place, refuel your body and go on, and also, there are public restroom s, where you can leave your waste behind. Good place.
Green, restful area with public bathrooms for those walking the trails. Often has small outdoor events.
